A FEW LOOK BACKS OVER THE SRILANKAN CRISIS AND FEW POINTS TO BE READ.

"Ruthless Rajapaksey Killing people, wont the world stop all these??" " Our Leader Prabhakaran can only bring the solution to this situation and no one else" etc etc....Do not wonder why am i quoting these!! These kinda speeches are spoken by a lot of people in the recent times in Tamilnadu and outside India and Srilanka. Of course i do agree there are ruthless killings of civilians taking place. But in view of this, various groups in and outside India trying to create a scene that LTTE is the only group which is fighting for the Civilians. But is this the fact?? People who watch this crisis which is taking place for more than decades will definitely agree that the present situation is much worse than the past that we could witness a lot of people being killed in the name of abolition of LTTE. But one could not denie the fact that LTTE and its leader Mr.Prabhakaran are the main root cause for the present situation in Srilanka. Of course in the earlier days of this crisis the Sinhalese enacted riots over Tamils in Lanka and so many Tamil organizations rose in favor for the civilians especially and one amongst them was LTTE which was in to severe action from 1980s. LTTE was formed in 1970s where it jumped in to its earlier act when Tamil youth were restricted admissions in Lankan Universities. In 1972 a group named in Tamil "Pudhiya Tamizh Puligal" ie New Tamil Tigers was formed which later became 'Tamizh Eezha Vidudhalai Puligal' or the LTTE. When various other groups for tamils had the principle of bringing a political solution for this crisis, LTTE and its Chief Mr.Prabhakaran believed in Terrorism or in their language should we say Fight for Freedom by being a Rebel. The first and foremost victim of LTTE being the member of United National Party and Mayor then for Yaazhpaanam, Mr.Albert Dhuraiappa. Assassinating a person who doesn't carry or use any weapon but varies by principles with others isn't a act of terrorism??!! LTTE and its chief wanted them to be the one and only fighting for the civilians and in getting the separate country. This is what made Mr.Prabhakaran kill several other tamil leaders like Amirtalingam, Neelan Tamilselvan, Sabharathinam etc and also several Sinhala Leaders like Premadasa, Vijayarathna, Lalith Adhulath Mudhali etc. LTTE doesn't stop there but even entered in to India and did the most cruel assassination of our former PM Mr.Rajiv Gandhi. In fact Mr.Prabhakaran himself quoted long time back that If he gets the independent country for the Tamils in lanka then there would surely be a Military Dictatorship alone in the Eelam land.It is even said that LTTE forceably indulges a large no of children in to the war by providing them with enough training. Training includes Tortures too.

Now lets see that is Independent Tamil Nation or the Eelam is the only solution??!! A separate Eelam is asked for the people of northern province of Lanka. If that is achieved, will a large no of Tamil people who lives in places like Colombo and Eastern province of lanka agree to live in the northern region (where eelam will be formed) along with those people??!! I strongly feel no. Because it is believed that a wide range of thoughts and principles severely vary amongst the people of north and east lanka already and so definitely the eastern province Tamils will say no to live in the independent Eelam as they might neglect to leave their life in the east. In fact many families who were living in eastern lanka and now in India when spoke to me were against LTTE and were blaming them for all the present happenings. I have a good friend who is a refugee from Srilanka presently lives in another country. He is a staunch supporter of LTTE but not his father. He himself has told me this once. In fact his father faced the most brutal acts of Sinhalese it seems but still he is against LTTE and their several acts. Coming back to the point, Eastern people are not going to accept to live with northern people in a separate Eelam if its formed. And what is the assurance that the Sinhalese will not insist the eastern province Tamils to go away to Eelam in case if its formed?? !! If such kinda incidents happen, then even the Srilankan Govt will not be able to control the emotions of Sinhalese. So the situation will still go worse even after forming Eelam. But who thinks of all such??!! If we get carried away by emotions and arrive at decisions in that regard, then i am sure those will not last long instead will create various other problems. In Indian freedom struggle, there was a person called Aurobindo Ghosh who was a rebel who believed in Terrorism but at last arrived at a decision that his way of approach will not bring any kinda solution to the problem and so became a famous spiritual person Swami Aurobindo and also started expressing his thoughts and fight for freedom by starting a magazine called "Aarya" Even when Subhash Chandra Bose was leading a separate military and fighting against British, he respected Mahatma Gandhi to the core and abide him at various circumstances. Even our freedom struggle has witnessed ruthless people like Gen.Dyer, Lord Dalhousie etc as equal to Rajapakshey of Srilanka. But Gandhiji who was leading the freedom movement did not rise with emotions during various ruthless acts by The British against Indians, instead thought practically and politically and that's why we are able to ripe the fruit of freedom for so many years now.

Concluding, Terrorism doesn't going to bring any stable solution and Independent Eelam is not a practical solution. Even we gave a separate nation named Pakistan to a section of Muslims under their demand in belief that it will be a solution for the on going riots then but does it prove effective??!!! I leave the answer to the readers themselves. Anyways, i appeal that world nations should join together to ensure that Tamils get equal rights in Lanka and live with peace. There can be a separate state in Srilanka with powers but a separate country cannot be a solution at all. I can still give you all a lots of unknown facts but i feel let me stop here as of now. And one important point i wanna make here is that LTTE or Pro LTTEs will always pose as if they are the one who care for Tamils in Lanka and oppose people like me. But i am least bothered about such people. The almighty knows who really cares and who get carried away by emotions alone.
